DogVacay Nets Additional Series B Venture Capital

   Santa Monica, California  --  Internet technology company DogVacay has received $25 million in additional second-round venture capital investment, according to a report in Fortune.

DogVacay is developing an online community for dog lovers to be able to connect with one another and to "provide safe, convenient and affordable ways to care for their best friend."

Investors in the financing were not disclosed.

DogVacay, which confirmed the investment in a phone call to TechCrunch, said it will use the money for building out its technology and improving the quality of its service.

The company has received $37 million in total financing so far and is backed by a large syndicate of top-tier venture capital firms.
